FoxPilot
MCP server and extensions that let AI assistants drive your browser
4.6K+ npm downloads
FoxPilot extends an open-source (MIT) MCP browser-control server for people who want AI assistants to work in their real, logged-in browser. By default it lists tabs, searches history and reads page content. An opt-in Automation Mode adds clicks, typing and screenshots, plus console and network capture.
It builds on that open-source work. My additions include a Manifest V3 port for Chrome and Edge and an optional Cloudflare Worker relay. It is published on npm, the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.
What it does
- Default tools list tabs, search history and read page content in your real, logged-in browser
- Opt-in Automation Mode: click, fill, type, drag, JavaScript evaluation, screenshots, console and network capture
- Chrome and Edge Manifest V3 port beside the Firefox (MV2) extension; one driver serves both
- Optional Cloudflare Worker relay for remote control, plus a Claude Desktop .dxt extension file
- One workflow cuts GitHub releases, publishes to npm and can submit to both browser stores
