HushCall

Meeting recorder and AI notetaker that runs on your Mac

macOS app Published Since Oct 2026 Platforms: macOS

HushCall is a meeting notetaker for people who do not want a bot in the call. It records your microphone and the call on separate tracks, then transcribes, labels speakers, summarizes and answers questions about the meeting on your Mac, on-device by default.

Cloud options stay off until you turn them on, and the app has no analytics or tracking. It is free to download on the Mac App Store, with Pro, Pro Lifetime and Cloud Pro in-app purchases.

What it does

  • No bot joins the call; works with Zoom, Teams, Slack, Discord and browser calls
  • Transcribes with WhisperKit or Apple Speech; summarizes with Apple's on-device model or a local model
  • Ask questions about a meeting; answers come from transcripts and timestamps jump to the recording
  • Optional cloud paths: HushCall Cloud Pro, or your own Gemini, Deepgram or OpenAI key
  • Cloud tier on a TypeScript Cloudflare Worker; StoreKit purchases; signed, notarized Developer ID builds
