Ward

Mac app that organizes Claude Code and Codex CLI config and scans MCP servers

macOS app Released Since Jul 2026 Platforms: macOS

Ward is a Mac app for developers who use Claude Code and Codex CLI. It organizes their configuration, scans MCP servers for poisoning, shows the context-window budget and sessions, and puts usage in the menu bar.

Built with Tauri 2 and Rust, it is MIT licensed and ships as a universal DMG on GitHub Releases. It is a clean-room reimplementation inspired by an MIT-licensed project, and it ports one algorithm from ccusage.

What it does

  • MCP security scanner that checks installed MCP servers for poisoning
  • Browse and edit skills, memories, MCP servers, agents, hooks, commands, plans, rules and settings
  • Context-window budget, session browser and backups
  • Menu-bar usage glance that ports the 5-hour session-block algorithm from ccusage
  • Universal DMG built and released by a GitHub Actions workflow (9 releases, latest v0.1.9)
